How has the Dect 6.0 technology improved in the latest Panasonic cordless phone systems?

 
I have been using a Panasonic cordless phone system with four handsets for several years, but I often experience poor sound quality and dropped calls when I am far from the base unit. The new models look similar to mine and also use Dect 6.0 technology. Will I notice any difference in performance if I upgrade to a new system? What are the main technological advancements that affect the reception and clarity of the calls?
